<description>Internationally acclaimed California based furniture designer, Cory Grosser, (corygrosser.com) recently took a break from designing high-end furniture to create a unique item for kids. Turtle/Turtle is a sculptural children's stool and decorative interior object. After the birth of their daughter, Cory and his wife had a hard time finding objects that were well designed, eco friendly and looked great in their modern home. They did love their daughter's Eames Elephant, originally designed in the 1940's, so Cory decided to create a companion with a similar spirit and functionality. Material usage was reduced to a bare minimum which gives the piece a simple, graphic aesthetic and makes it light, easy for kids to handle and more efficient to transport. Each piece is hand made by local craftsman in downtown Los Angeles of powder coated steel wire and saddle leather. It is highly durable and will patina nicely over time. Originally created as a one-off prototype for Faces in the Wild, an auction benefitting The World Wildlife Fund, a designer-made edition of Turtle/Turtle was successfully funded on Kickstarter and is now available at shopcorygrosser.com.

<description>Like Coco Chanel's little black dress, the CG_1 table collection is unobtrusive, slim, and versatile. It can be dressed up to show or dressed down to blend in any environment. Uniquely, the frame is available in expertly crafted wood or painted aluminum. The collection’s signature, a unique inner leg and foot detail in solid wood or colored corian, provides a subtle, stylistic expression in an unexpected place. This detail combined with multiple top options can create a quiet, monolithic aesthetic or make a statement through contrasting materials and colors. With an archetypal shape that seems effortless, unprecedented materiality options and a unique leg detail, CG_1 is an essential product for the office or home.

During the 2010 Milan Furniture Fair 5 Piazzas were entrusted to 5 architects/designers each having been a past participant in Salone Satellite. Each designer had the task of interpreting the 5 continents from which they are from. Piazza America, designed by Cory Grosser, is titled "Tell Me Your Dreams." Although inspired by the designers home state of California, Piazza America represents the dreams and aspirations of people everywhere. The other participants are as follows: Piazza Europe by Paolo Ulian, Italy; Piazza Africa by Charles O’ Job, Nigeria; Piazza Asia by Tonerico Inc., Japan; Piazza Oceania by Darcy Clarke, Australia.

<description>The R.E.M. bed explores the synergy of a strong graphic profile with a revolutionary headboard available in fixed or adjustable versions. The unique headboard is not only height adjustable, but also split into two sections allowing each user freedom from the disruption of the other. The clean, balanced shape works well in small spaces and is refreshing in its simplicity. The bed responds to an everyday reality, while still maintaining a clean and sophisticated aesthetic suitable for modern interiors

In 2003, we began a collaboration with Ford Motor Company's Brand Imaging Group. A studio in California that manages the brand image of the various car companies owned by Ford. Working closely with Ford's internal team of transportation designers, graphic designers and managers, we consulted on several branding projects encompassing: research, visual strategy, and product design. As experts in contemporary culture, global design, lifestyle, and trends, we brought a unique perspective to Ford's team.

One of the highlights of this collaboration was work for the Mercury Division. We helped the group develop a design "DNA" guide to inform the future visual strategy of the Mercury Brand, as well as developing target consumers', and lifestyle trends. The results of our efforts have influenced the design and strategy of Mercury.

In tandem with the Design DNA Guide we developed a series of consumer products to celebrate the launch of the Mercury Messenger concept vehicle. Our products resulted from the careful consideration of the DNA and were closely integrated wit the styling and technica features of the car and the owner's projected lifestyle.

In 1938, with the success of, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Walt Disney began to plan the construction of the ultimate animation studio in Burbank, California. Walt wanted his studio designed to facilitate optimum production, which is why he commissioned the design of the Airline Chair (1934). The chair was used by the animators throughout the studio including the screening room. Produced in limited quantities for Walt, the original Airline Chair has become one of the most sought after Art Moderne products ever designed.

In 2007, Walt Disney Signature, Disney's adult lifestyle brand, contacted Cory to imagine a new armchair and ottoman inspired by the original chair from 1934. Through careful design choices, the chair references the past but appears light, elegant and unmistakably modern.
